Newark Airport Car Service(EWR)
Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), once known as Newark International Airport, is located within both Newark and Elizabeth, New Jersey’s city limits. It’s around 15 miles from Manhattan, New York.
Newark airport is an important United Airlines hub. In 2017, Newark Liberty International Airport handled more than 43 million passengers. It has three runways and has three passenger terminals, called Terminals A, B and C, each with three concourses.
Though the airport itself first opened in 1928, its first terminals, Terminals A and B, weren’t constructed until 1973. The Newark International Airport was the first major airport in the US.
Terminals A and B are both four storey buildings. Terminal A is the only one at the airport with immigration facilities. There are expansion plans in the works for this part of the airport in order to meet the increasing traffic.
Terminal B has already been rebuilt and expanded in 2008 to boost the location’s passenger handling capacity.
The newest of Newark Airport’s terminals is Terminal C. Originally built in 1988, terminal C underwent a massive rebuilding and expansion that took place from 1998 through 2003. Terminal C is divided into two individual ticketing areas: domestic flights and international flights. This Newark Airport United terminal is home to 57 gates and is used exclusively for United Airlines and United Express flights.
United Airlines and its subsidiaries carry over 60 percent of the passengers travelling through Newark Airport’s three terminals. The busiest international routes are London, Toronto and Tel Aviv. On the domestic side, the busiest routes are San Francisco, Los Angeles and Orlando.
